Kilkenny MEP Liam Aylward, has called for more concerted action at EU level to respond to growing levels of violence against women during the plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg this week.

Mullingar man, Bernard O’Farrell and Cork man Greg Mulcahy have won the first prize in the HSE elder abuse short film competition entitled Open Your Eyes – Open Your Lens.
